Meet Philippa Hunt

Philippa Hunt is the founder of Quest K9’s Detection Dogs, where she is passionate about developing rescue and re-homed dogs into specialist working roles.

Her philosophy is simple:

*Perception is key.
*Environmental foundation is essential.
*Keeping the work within the working dog.

GUNNER, a young German Shorthaired Pointer adopted through GSP Rescue UK, has become an example of that philosophy in practice. Having joined Philippa from foster care with no previous exposure to detection work, he has progressed through the Knife Detection Dogs UK programme and is now licensed as a knife detection dog.

Together, they continue to prepare for operational deployment while demonstrating the value of combining structured training, scientific understanding and the natural abilities of the working dog.
